Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is the film, based on the life of the most courageous and brave freedom fighter, ” Rani Lakshmi Bai”. But ever since this movie got released it looks like it will be known for who directed the film rather than remembering the history behind Jhansi. The film starts with showing Kangana Ranaut and Krish as directors. But these two have been playing the blame game to take the credit of direction.

Kangana in her press conference revealed, working on a subject like Manikarnika has been challenging since day one. She even got hurt on the initial days of the shoot with a sword being hit on her forehead, there were minor incidents due to people falling off horses and managing a historical remake isn’t that easy.

So she alleges very joyfully that the challenges could not have stopped because even the director(Krish) left the film in between and she had no other option but to take the charge herself. Which wasn’t really easy for her, she thanks all of her team effort to complete this film and to be able to release on the same decided date. However,in her statements, she has never been negatively accusing Krish of leaving the film director in between.

On the other hand, Krish has an endless list of accusations. In his statements he mentioned that Kangana was extremely rude in her behaviour and was interfering in every aspect of direction, writing and being very authoritative. He could not bear that sort of humiliation so he preferred to walk out.

But ever since the movie got released he has been claiming that 85% of the movie is being shot by him and Kangana has just completed his incomplete film. He is even tweeting some Whatsapp screenshots from his team members affirming the point that most of the film has been shot by Krishna itself.

What do you think was the option left with Kangana? What else she could have done when you left in the middle Mr. Krishna? If you think you were being betrayed, you could have slammed a legal notice to Kangana. But you have just bee tweeting to fight for your credits. However, this is not the first time happening with Kangana.

She was blamed for similar reasons of interference in writing for the movie Simran too. In fact, every time her movie releases it is always followed by some controversies. How do we trust that this isn’t another publicity stunt? But using a film like Manikarnika for publicity stunts is extremely shameful.

We don’t know what is the truth behind Krish walking out the film or how much did Kangana directed. But watching this movie does take you to the time where Rani Lakshmi Bai fought for Jhansi and how she troubled the Britishers. The movie is a beautiful tribute, so rather than fighting over the credits of direction. Let’s just respect the history of the movie and let the film be known for good reasons.
