The former Union Defence Minister and Goa CM passed away in Panji on March 17th, 2019. Some of the reports also say that he had been on life support system since late Saturday night.
From the last year February, his health was continuously deteriorating. He had been to Hospitals in Delhi, Mumbai, Goa & New York and was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
He Breathed his last on 17th March 2019. Nation Mourns the Death of the great leader.
Centre has also announced national mourning on 18th March.

After his Demise, BJP led coalition government in Goa supported by Goa Forward Party (GFP), Maharashtravadi Gomantak Party (MGP) has to search for a new leader.
Known for his Dressing style. He cultivated the image of being a common man’s CM.
Goa lost it’s one of the greatest leaders.
The nation is saddened by his demise.
He had been the Chief Minister of Goa four times. Moreover, he was the first IIT Graduate to become a Chief Minister of any India State.
